Jeff of Nutsonline getting to wear Save Jericho tee in San Fran

I am so darned jealous right now of Jeff, here he is out in my old stomping grounds - San Fransisco
( sort of , I am from the Santa Cruz - San Jose area) hows that gorgeous fog today Jeff? Hey if you have a chance, go eat a Round Table Pizza and a ToGos.......... ummmm good eating out there!

*sigh, I miss my home :-(*

anyway , back to business:

Jeff, again.... thank you for all your work with this, even though we can now see you are as big a fan as we are :-)

Some wonderful Jericho Ranger gives away 500 tickers to Indy 500

Talk about dedication to a cause, can you imagine anyone giving away 500 tickets to the Indy 500?
Well, that is exactly what one Jericho fan on the forums did, gave away 500 tixs along with fliers all about Jericho!

To that fan who did such a cool thing, way to go you rock!

Now I have to watch the whole thing just to see if I can find any talking about Jericho, or dare I hope; see any fliers????

Wonder if anyone can convince a driver to put a flier on his car for the race?

Variety Ad fund all done

Well according to this forum post the ad in Variety is a go, I am so proud of everyone for all the hard work everyone is doing!

I can not wait to see this baby, she will be so beautiful.

I have read that there are certain folks who remain nameless to us all, w ho have helped in our cause. Thank you so much.

Do you all know you have made history this week? We all have. I salute each and every person who has been a part of this effort, we all have worked together and made something that most say is impossible, more than possible.

at 6:56 PM EDT - Oy...the details were different than what I expected. One of the contacts I made at CBS came out and confirmed the donation of the peanuts. From the article on the left, CBS spokesman Chris Ender estimated Wednesday that about 300 boxes of nuts ranging in size from three pounds to 10 pounds had arrived. "We've made arrangements for the bulk of the boxes to be picked up by Staten Island Project Home Front, an organization that focuses on fundraising and supporting military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan," Ender told wcbstv.com. "We've also made contact with the Bronx Zoo to see if they'd like some of these, as well as local homeless shelters and food banks." (wcbstv.com just updated this story) Jericho fans, this is still great news, but we need more...Looks like my previous comment might just have to become a reality.
I don't understand this, What is SOOOO Hard about this?

I am looking at this like a parent to a child. A parent normally can not allow the child to get away with throwing a hissy fit, when it wants something right?

But, and here is what I think is important - we are not stamping our feet for something we did not have, we are asking for something that was given to us, and then was taken away.

Come on CBS, make with the nice nice, let us hear the words we are all waiting to hear, and become HEROS to us!

This baby is my very own personal manual, my dad worked on the Program for many years. I am so proud of that fact, my dad helped put men on the moon :-)

Now, I want to help the cause to save Jericho, and I am willing to sell this to the highest bidder, but I am trying to figure out how. I don't have an eBay account to sell , but if someone could tell me what to do that would be awesome, orrrrrrrrrrr you can just contact me here with an outrageous bid.

I want this to be set up so I see the bids, but the money is sent to either the Variety AD, or the peanuts orders at nutsonline, or even better both.
But this is a childhood and irreplaceable memory, so make those offers GOOD okay?
Here is a picture of the manual, now being that its from 1965 its cover is off, but other than that its in wonderful shape, and complete; diagrams and all.

More Facts About Jericho:Inside The Numbers

This is quite a read for those who know the business, and I think a crack reporter might just like the way this info is layed out, clear , simple and too the point!
After reading this, I had to ask myself what was all this BS from CBS is about , if the viewer numbers if this totally shows the opposite ? Read on Warriors, and tell me what you think -

I’ve been doing some extensive research during the past week, and we need to continue communicating the FACTS to the CBS executives regarding why they are being short-sighted and why it was a mistake for them to take JERICHO off the air. Word has it that the fan mail, the NUTS, the online petitions and the recent media blitz are helping tremendously, but we can’t stop now. This is the critical time for us to continue to show our support for JERICHO. Here are some additional interesting facts and findings for you to include in your ongoing communication to the CBS executives:

· Did you know that JERICHO was the #1 show on www.cbs.com? JERICHO was averaging over 450,000 hits a week on www.cbs.com... More than any other show out there. I’m sure the numbers have been even higher than this since the news hit about the show being canceled.

· Many people were downloading episodes of JERICHO that didn’t count toward the show’s demographic or rating. In fact, JERICHO was in the top most 25 downloads on www.itunes.com, not to mention that fact that JERICHO episodes were also being downloaded for free on www.cbs.com.

· JERICHO was consistently averaging 9-10 million viewers a week..This number never dropped. JERICHO DOES have a loyal fan base regardless of what the execs at CBS have been quoted saying in the press as of late.

· It was a mistake and poor judgment for CBS put JERICHO in the 8pm/7pm central time timeslot with no lead in (which means, no show in front of it). CBS wasn’t happy with JERICHO’s 18-49 demographic, but unfortunately, this is what happens when you put a show on at this time (and you know that all of the 18-49 year olds aren’t home).

· CBS’s poor scheduling choices didn’t help JERICHO. As a first year show, with no lead in, JERICHO was up against "Dancing with The Stars" & "American Idol." This certainly doesn’t seem fair, or a good way to calibrate how well JERICHO actually performed.. You really have to take the prime time reality shows out of the equation.

· There is a new way of watching TV and there should be a new way of measuring “ratings.” CBS doesn’t understand that 18-49 year olds have begun downloading shows and watching them via the Internet. By the way, as many of you know, this is a great way for advertisers to get their brands in front of viewers, especially since we we usually TIVO through these ads when we watch them on TV. More and more advertisers are looking for online television spots and in game advertising opportunities to reach their target audiences… This tremendous online audience (>450,000 hits a week) ofJERICHO’s cannot be ignored.

· CBS is being extremely short-sighted.. Don’t they know that by having such a huge online presence (via JERICHO), they could be perceived as a forward looking network and increase ad revenue at the same time? I guess it’s too difficult for them to change. In CBS’s eyes, everything has worked just fine for the past several decades..Well, not for long. Welcome to the world of online media, CBS. I would get out in front of this wave by renewing JERICHO and taking advantage of the online (and on-air) fan base instead of hiding behind what’s “safe.” I don’t think a Hugh Jackman musical TV show is “safe,” by the way.

· JERICHO beat out shows on other networks (shows that are coming back next season) ie: 30 rock, friday night lights, notes from the underbelly, biggest loser, etc. It’s difficult to believe that some of these shows were more popular than JERICHO. CBS says it is committed to “changing its image.” Unfortunately, JERICHO is suffering as a result of this transformation.

· One last factoid: The ratings that JERICHO put up on Wednesday nights at 8 pm were the best ratings CBS has seen in that time slot in SEVEN years. Yes, SEVEN years, people.

· Finally, this could be the most brilliant PR move of ALL TIME for CBS. Think about it… CBS has garnered more national (and international) press in the last week regarding the cancellation of JERICHO than it did with the announcement of its new shows for the FALL. This must tell CBS something. Could you imagine the BUZZ CBS would generate if it actually LISTENED to its fans, and put the show back on the air? “An unprecedented move by a conservative network that truly understands that its fans are #1”-- I’ll bet the show’s ratings would blow through the roof (online and on air), CBS would get the “feel good press” it desperately needs right now, the JERICHO fans would be satisfied, and everyone would be happy. Think about it…

CBS, please be smart and save JERICHO….

Save Jericho - Kenneth Mitchell visits the forum

Wow, to say that the actors don't know what we are doing is obviously wrong, now today at 9:30 am, Kenneth Mitchell, who plays Eric Green ; came to the boards with a lovely and to me anyway, sort of hopeful note:

Hello Jericho Fans...

I thought Eric being tortured by New Bern was difficult but having our show come to a close has been quite challenging emotionally. Working with CBS on Jericho has certainly been one of my favorite professional experiences. It was an absolute treat to go to work everyday and be apart of the Jericho family which extends out to you - the 9 million+ devoted fans that religiously tune in every week via a multitude of media outlets.

I really appreciate all your dedication and interest throughout the season. Your passion and enthusiasm over the last week has especially been overwhelming and touching. It's been a difficult time for the cast and crew but your response has warmed our souls.

I'm thrilled to witness that the themes of our show have resonated with you. Your recent rally has brought new meaning to the episodes "Why We Fight" and "Coalition of the Willing". I'm surprised Planters Peanutz hasn't called to do a cross promotion.

Though Eric morns the loss of his father he must be strong and soldier on with his brother in arms.

Thanks again for all the support and I hope to see you soon.

To Kenneth, I have to say I am sorry :-) I have been dogging your character a bit this year on my first Jericho Blog over at Word press. I have to say it was purely due to being caught in the moment, LOL. But the mere fact that I felt so strongly about your character means you were doing it all right, a real tribute in my eyes.

Eric Greene was a human, he cried, he made mistakes and he was one of us. And yes, the moment when April died was heartbreaking for me and I am sure many many viewers, we all felt sorry for Eric.

We love you guys in Jericho, I hope you see that now. And we want you back in our lives every week!
To CBS - please, listen to what we the FANS are saying about OUR show, and just admit you made a mistake, bring back Jericho!

Okay, so I watched the Morning Show today, and low and behold there about half way through the whole show, were folks wearing peanuts on thier heads! I was whooping and hollering, but then saw what their signs said..... we love dave????? What?

American Peanut Council? Huh? What a coincidence. I saw over the forums, that there were in the back ground folks wearing peanut outfits, and carrying signs saying SAVE JERICHO, and my youngest boy did say he saw them too.

I hope to have confirmation about this later, to me it seemed that CBS did its level best to keep all views of the crowd cut from any scenes until they went outside for the hair do segment. At that point it looked like the Stepford viewers out there!

I myself tend to think based on how they did not pan the crowd as usual, that there were folks there for our cause, if that is so I salute you!
I do have to say I saw at least three camera men ( young guys) running around quite a bit, with some really nice cameras; wonder what they were taking shots of???

I hope someone from flickr was there, to get the shots.
