What is on TV Tonight - The Upcoming Fall Season

Well, we all know as we get older the days flow like raging waters towards the changing seasons , Fall will soon be upon us ( and thank the lord above, Fall can not arrive too soon in my opinion ) so I thought it would be a good idea to see what the Nets and Cable have in store for us.
I would really love to get your ideas on what will be hot this season as well, the viewers are a more accurate litmus test for what will survive in my view.
On CBS ~ Premiers September 17th @ 8 pm
Survivor Samoa ....  alright now all you Jericho fans, get ready to drum me out of the anit reality tv club. After watching I am a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here on NBC... I fell in love with the whole survive in a jungle idea. I have no clue if Survivor is even remotely like this, so I will give it a few episodes to see if it clicks for me. Just do not tell CBS I said that okay? Oh and get this, it's 19th Season!!! Got to be something there right?
Also on CBS ~ NCIS Los Angeles ~ Premiers on September 22nd @ 9pm

I am SO going to watch this show religiously, one because of my family attachment to the US NAVY, but also because this finally seems to be a CIS show with a different slant. And the cast aint too shabby either. Oh and the geek toys look awesome, like the infamous touch screen tv.... too nice.

And last but by no means least... on CBS we have our beloved Alex O'Loughlin in Three Rivers. Done deal,  because it has the magic touch of Ms Carol Barbee. This show will also have personal meaning to my family as well.
Tomorrow I will discuss the line up on NBC and each night this week the other great shows coming up on the various nets and cable. It is time to ask for more hours in our day so we can keep up with all this great tv coming our way. Thank  God for DVR ;-p I have been asked if I will be starting a blog for any of the shows on CBS and actually I do think if I can swing the time that NCIS will be a great show for me to attach myself to.
Remember to let me know what shows you are waiting on!

Three Rivers Picked up by CBS

Jason "RubberPoultry" Moore , our dear friend from Jericho's fan base and graphic artist extraordinaire has left word today concerning Carol Barbee, Jon Steinberg and Frank Military ~

Carol Barbee's pilot, Three Rivers has now gone to Series on CBS! I am really excited to hear this news and will be a fan watching each episode when it begins to air.

Also, Jon Stienberg's pilot Human Target has been picked up by Fox, nicely done Fox. Maybe this will be the fit they were looking for as a couple to Dollhouse?

RubberPoultry also mentioned that one of the Jericho writers, Frank Militray also has a pilot up for grabs called U. S. Attorney which Lennie James is in. No mention as of yet where this pilot stands, but we fans of Lennie very much hope to see it on the small screen and soon.

Cinemarealm.com Gives Jericho Fans Uplifting Article

This image is of a screencap of the television series Image via Wikipedia

From Cinemarealm.com:

Jericho fans deliver a fitting finale to the May sweeps

Television viewers are more than willing to invest money in quality programming.

If a show is as successful at inspiring loyalty as Jericho has been over the last couple of years, it doesn’t even matter that it has been cancelled. Not in this particular case anyway, since Jericho producers Carol Barbee and Jon Steinberg have voiced confidence that the show will most likely return in some form or another.

The efforts of Jericho fans to bring the show back for a third season on a cable network are often labelled as “rabid” or “nutty,” but the last among the many campaigns is very much on the pulse of television audiences at large, as the numbers for this year’s May sweeps indicate. More about those later.

More Dish from Jerichon 08

I was late to the show Shaun had today, but as I listen to the saved download, I was struck by how each fan who called in to talk to Carol Barbee was so at ease with her. As RubberPoultry said, Carol, Karim, Dan, Matt and the entire cast and crew was at the helm of a ship we loved being able to be aboard, and we are not letting that ship go down.
I am so sorry I was not able to be in Oakley, despite the fact that I would have completely LOST my cookies during those storms , I have an intense fear of Tornado's. Someone would have had to staple my head to my shoulders for those storms. Speaking of storms, here is a great page of photos from StormChaser at Jerichon!

It sounds like you all are having a total blast out there, I can't wait to hear ALL the stories. Have a rum and coke for me guys!!!
And ladies..... please don't kill each other over those towels and jackets okay?

And our Rammy from the boards proposed to his love on Saturday eve, and I hear the answer was yes - Congratulations Rammy!!!

And look at this, a Loomer Inaction Figure (love it) That RubberPoultry is so talented, he never ceases to amaze the fans with his work! Here is the post RubberPoultry put up at the CBS boards if you want to read more about how this amazing figure came about.

On other news:

The Billboard is a go according to AlasJericho.com:

We are pleased to announce that we have reached our financial goal for the billboard campaign and we are a go!

Thank you to all the donors, bidder and cheerleaders for all you did to help us achieve this goal!

This is awesome, I heard on the show today that there will be more than one billboard, which is great. The more places the billboard is located, the better coverage and attention we get. Will find out more about the locations of the additional billboards and post here as soon as I do.

Will be back with who won what at the Auction later today! All proceeds will be going to the Greensburg Kansas Funds, so please folks throw that cash like it grows on trees :-)

SciFi and Paramount - Where the action is now

Hello Jericho Fans

A new campaign to save Jericho is afoot. According to Carol Barbee, Executive Producer for Jericho the move to get Jericho a new home on SciFi is still very much an option. Carol explained that we need to keep the pressure on CBS Paramount and that they are 100 percent behind Jericho. This is where we need to concentrate our efforts according to Carol.

Why is Carol still fighting? She said this show deserves more time, it's been given it's day to a great degree, but there is so much more to tell in this story. She said the fans care, they ( the writers) care, and she feels like Junction did their job in these last seven episodes and hopefully will now be able to take the story to another venue and keep telling the story.

Over at JerichoNet2.com there are some very important threads that will help you on your journey into this awesome trip of saving Jericho again! At this thread SciFi Network Stats and Information - you will find all the information about who to write, some great letters to use a starting point and addresses.
Also, at JNet * JerichoNet2.com for short* is a thread where you will find all the templates for labels and stationary you will need.

JNet has made finding what we need extremely easy, its also a place where so many fresh ideas are flowing, its simply amazing to read through all the threads.

I know you will enjoy being over there as much as I do, so come on over and check it out. And please help us in the campaign .... JERICHO NEEDS YOU!

And to end this post, I would like to include a open letter to SciFi from a fan~

Hello,

It is with the utmost humbleness that I write this letter to your network with a request. As you have posted previously on your website, a show with a ‘cult-like’ fanbase behind it has been cancelled. It’s a show that a lot of people have a lot of faith in, despite their differences and even cultural and racial lines. The show is Jericho.
I know the show has two strikes against it, being cancelled twice, but it’s a show that is a great fit for your network. Not only do its plotlines go beyond conventional television, but its fans do too. Many of us fans were not counted amongst the traditional Nielsen network ratings, but as a whole, while the ratings were not on par for traditional network television, they would have been very good for a cable network, particularly one that thinks beyond tradition.
Sci-Fi Channel has always been a station that goes beyond conventional thinking and conventional television. Your versions of Battlestar Galactica and the Stargate series have been nothing short of visionary. The pure fact that you already possess the rights to air the already run episodes on your channel just enhances that image. I ask that you consider continuing that vision by stepping forth and acquiring the rights to continue airing this show as a first run series on your network. It’s just a natural fit; a revolutionary series for a revolutionary network, backed by a group of revolutionary fans.
As a group of fans, we are asking for another chance for our show to live, and in particular, on your network. I ask that you not pass up this chance to give this show one last life, one that it couldn’t find in its present home, but could find with you. Jericho was always too intense for regular network TV, and as a avid fan, I feel that it would have a great home on your network. Look at the numbers, look at the passion of the fans that continue to support it and yet are never counted. The online support of the show is immense, and this is a show that has never truly been given a fair chance. It is our hope that your network will be the one to give it that chance.
You have a guaranteed viewer in me, and I am sure that others will attest to the same thing. All that we ask as a fandom, and all that I ask as an individual is that you give this show a fair chance, and allow Jericho to have a true chance to shine in an environment that is more receptive to it. Jericho needs to be in an environment that thinks beyond the traditional box, and the Sci Fi Channel, is a channel that truly does think beyond the traditional TV box. Please pick up Jericho, and give this show a chance to become part of a true visionaries dream.

Shaun Vegas show May 31st - Carol Barbee and Richard Speight

I am listening to Shaun's radio show, and I am going to admit right now, I have never been one to sit still long enough to listen to anything on the net, I might watch Jericho...but honestly that would be about it, and Shaun you have a fan for life!

To hear Carol Barbee say those words, don't give up; gave me such a lift, I am so rearing to go now. If I had a million bucks.... man would CBS be sitting under a HUGE mountain of NUTS right now.

I would bet that CBS is hearing every single word we say on the forums and write on our blogs. CBS , I have one thing to say to you.....I have faith in YOU to do what you NOW KNOW IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO and I know you will.

I am not a mind reader , nor do I see the future, but in my soul I think that this is going to end up where everyone is happy!

Here is the link to hear, actually hear Carol and Richard Speight say what we ALL need to hear, words to bring us hope!
I can hear that song, we are family in my head now.... i am getting so mushy right now :-)

Stanley, you and Mimi are but a heartbeat away from being back on my tv again and I CANT wait! And Jake and Emily, we may be seeing your wedding soon, that will be great!
