What's up for TV this week? Thoughts on Chuck

First up, I want to talk a bit about The Reaper on the CW. Seems that the Hollywood Reporter is stating that the show has been dropped, however as of today, Zap2it.com reports the line up for NBC has been chosen and Chuck fans will be waiting for news on its status. Read also this report in the Hollywood Reporter

Does this mean, Chuck fans that you have time? Take it from one who knows, you ran out of workable time like yesterday. Do yourselves a favor, get organized now, AGREE on who will be doing what and then AGREE on what you will be doing and then DO IT NOW.

You can come here and leave any posts , messages etc that need to be spread out and I will make sure all the information is posted asap. I am just wishing that you did not have the fight of your life ahead of you, but you may well.

A good idea would be to talk to some of the Jericho fans ( and the Firefly fans) and ask them what they would do different, but TIME is not on your side, trust me. The Jericho fans made a huge impact with the NUTS and letter and phone call campaign. I would suggest that you ramp it up beyond letters.

I am not trying to be a downer and will help where I can but the thing is you have to do something huge and you better have the fans who have their butts in the seats in front of the TV because we will never get rid of the ratings system as it is now.

I wish you luck but be prepared, its a long long haul. NBC, do yourselves a favor, you have a show that is a fan favorite, those fans are valuable to you in so many ways. Do not repeat what CBS did, it leaves a sore taste in viewers mouths.

20 April 2009

It's Monday, whats on TV Tonight?

NBC has Chuck tonight ~ Chuck vs The Colonel. I love Chuck and watch when ever I can. He is funny but also a bit sad. The story may seem a bit cheesy at first but it really grabs you and sucks you in. And I adore the geeks who are always out to get him.

Also on tap tonight is Heroes tonight, I am Sylar. I have to admit not having watched for a while, so many other shows have taken over and with my job that leaves little time on certain nights. I have been hearing rumblings around the net that Heroes has slipped in popularity due to some sloppy story line. I am not sure , will have to check out tonight's episode since I have no work today.

Now for a movie that I am so freaking excited about ~ Land of the Lost.

I was an avid, no rabid fan of Land of the Lost when I was a kid. I loved the Sleestaks, the Dinosaurs the whole idea of being sucked into a land where this is possible. Imagine my disappointment when I took Paleontology and was told nope, no going back in time.

Will Ferrell is a complete comedic genius. It took me years to figure this out, my own fault really. I never gave the man a chance, that is until I saw Talladega Nights in the Theaters. I was immediately smitten with Will and have watched every movie he has made since.

I know he will be awesome as Dr. Rick Marshall and will take the die hard fans of Land of the Lost back to their childhood for some great adventures and fun. Thanks Will and Universal for finally remembering the great stories of the not so distant past and making them into fantastic movies.

What is on TV tonight?

NBC - The Biggest Loser - Couples

NBC - Biggest Loser - Couples
Episode 711
EST 9 pm, NBC

Recap of March 10th Episode 710

Hint at tonight's episode ( from Biggest Loser Forums.)
We watch as contestants struggle to maintain their focus and hard work while competing back home for a full week. Complicating the joys and temptations of home, the physical challenge is a half-marathon, 13.1 miles, no small feat. The runner with the best time receives $10,000 cash!

But, first, a strategic temptation: each contestant is given a box of 13 cookies, one cookie for each mile they'll run. For each cookie they eat, they can add an extra five minutes to an opponent's half-marathon time. Who's willing to eat the extra calories just to sabotage someone else? (Also: watch and see whose at-home mates get into the spirit and run along for the entire 13 miles!)

When they get back to the ranch, it's one last-chance workout and then mounting the scale. Five players are painfully close to reaching the 100-pounds-lost target. Who will hit the bullseye? Who will turn around and go right back home again?

CONTESTANTS GO HOME FOR A WEEK AND COMPLETE HALF-MARATHONS

All of the contestants head home for a week, where they are faced with the challenge of continuing to make healthy food choices and getting their workouts done in their home environments. After they arrive home, each player gets a DVD with host Allison Sweeney revealing their “at home challenge” – to run a half marathon – 13.1 miles!

A cookie temptation adds an interesting twist to the competition, and the players find out the results of their hard work once they return to the ranch.

Biggest Loser tonight!

I have not been able to watch each week, but I catch when I can. I know over a year ago that I said I would forever more hate these reality shows and I have tried. But honestly, Biggest Loser is important to me!!! To me and millions of other fans!:-)

There are times where I think I would gladly pay any amount of money for Jillian to come kick my ass in training, imagine how physically awesome we would be if we all could have her training us personally?

And check this out, Biggest Loser is having casting calls for Season 8 ! But you had better get your butts in gear, March 31 is the deadline for submissions of tapes and such. I would do it, really... but I am too well, you know. :-)

If you wish to try out, just click this link and it will take you right to the page to submit your application.

Who do I not like? Kristen and Cathy!

Who am I sad at leaving now? Shanon, darn it.

Grrrrrrrr, now I am mad. What will happen tonight , I wonder????
