Sci Fi Rally & Jericho Mini Marathon
I want to Thank ALL the members from many Forums for a great Rally last Monday Night!
But this is a SPECIAL MONDAY, Feb.23rd! The Scifi Channel will air the 1st Jericho Marathon starting at 8 am - 4 pm EST with a total of 8 episodes. Beginning with the "Pilot" and continuing in the original order they were aired. Remember to check your listings for YOUR Local Time Zone!!

WELCOME HOME TO JERICHO CHARITY EVENT RECEIVES EXCITING GUEST CONFIRMATIONS
Anticipation builds for 'family-style reunion' in L.A.to benefit military members and their families
Welcome Home to Jericho! Amid nuclear bombs, heartache, and strife, Jericho was -- and always will be -- a lot like home to many of us. It's a phenomenal show and a special place where we still hold dear precious things and embrace values like friendship, family, love, community, and teamwork when everything else in the world may be falling apart. For the fans and many people associated with the show, it's probably a feeling that transcends the fictional TV "Jericho" and translates to what the show brought to us in real life.
Since Jericho gave us such a wonderful gift and reminded us of the many tangibles that truly matter, we have decided to celebrate it as
the "family" we have become with Welcome Home to Jericho: A Charity Event (WHTJ), benefiting the Southern California Chapter of Operation Homefront, on April 24-26 at The Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, California.
Hosted by Jericho Rangers For Our Troops (JR4OT) on behalf of Operation Homefront, the Welcome Home fundraising event will focus on best serving our troops and their families through efforts dubbed Operation Summer Camp and Operation Back-to-School. So, while fellow fans come together to meet each other and some of the show's cast, writers, producers, and crew, the event also will address funding for the children of deployed troops, as they and their parents have so clearly captured the hearts of Jericho cast and crew and fans
worldwide.
Some of the latest developments in the planning of Welcome Home to Jericho include:
* TV and film star Esai Morales (Major Beck) has confirmed plans to appear at the charity event,barring any scheduling conflicts, to show support for the troops and to promote his new show "Caprica," whose pilot is scheduled to debut on April 21.
He will be joined by actress April Parker-Jones (Darcy Hawkins), Jericho writer/producer Matt Federman, on-set dresser Mike Loomer, and on-set prop master Erik Kieltyka (also affectionately known as "Dr. Booty"). ShaunOMac of TV Talk on BlogTalkRadio also will be on hand to cover the event as part of his show.
Event organizers will provide further details on guest
appearances as confirmations are received.
* Musical group Five for Fighting, whose music graced Jericho episodes and whose commitment to troop efforts is well-established, has agreed to donate CDs and other signed paraphernalia as auction items to benefit Operation Homefront.
* Registration for the event and details of the weekend, including a Bailey's Welcome Party, a "Stimi" Wedding Reception, and a Green Family Brunch, can be found at www.welcomehometojericho.com. There is a limited capacity for attendees, so it's imperative to go ahead and pre-register. There also are a limited number of rooms blocked for Welcome Home to Jericho attendees at a special cut-rate price. Details regarding room rates and reservations, travel deals, and other exciting offers can be found on the WHTJ site.

Operation Phoenix Update -- 2/20
Hello fellow Rangers
As we head into this weekend I just want to let everyone know that things are moving forward. The ARG game is going well with many participants over the web. NorsU and K6 have put together a great game that is doing exactly what we wanted it to do, create interest across the internet about Jericho.
Jericho's ratings were up again last week to 1,160,000 up for the second straight week post Super Bowl. We are making a dent. Jericho is averaging 1,113,750 in the ratings (non 7 Day DVR adjusted) which is better than Mad Men, Dexter and Weeds first run shows this past year. We need to look at Jericho and ratings in terms of pay channel, basic cable channel and not using CBS numbers as the standard. From Jon Turtletaub's statements it appears that CBS Paramount is looking at it this way as well. Thanks goes to Casey Dog and MyVibesmom for their continued hard work on digging up the ratings and putting together the stats.
The Welcome Home Jericho Event is schedule for April 24-26, 2009 in Los Angles. April Parker and Esai Morales are both scheduled to appear barring any last minute schedule conflicts. In conjunction with the event, the Jericho Rangers 4 Our Troops have put together a cookbook, all proceeds go to the Charity to help service people and their families.
Remember to watch Black Jack on youtube and get ready for episode 13 Blackjack this Sunday at 6:30EST on the CW. There is a Ranger Rally on the CW Board on Sunday night.
Monday February 23, 2009 8:00 am EST-Sci Fi presents Jericho mini Marathon of the first 8 episodes. Dean will be on the Sci Fi Board during and after the Marathon.

Epix Update -- 2/20
Hello Fellow Rangers,
As you all know Artzy lady received an email from Epix that they are exploring putting Jericho on epix. We are targeting them right now before they fully launch in the Fall of 2009. Jericho is running with action adventure movies now on the CW and for next couple of weeks at 6:30pm. We already saw uptake in ratings and we hope to continue to see them.
We need everyone to send an email, a letter and card. K6 has made a great post card you can download at UHD (see attachment). superfan@epixhd.com is the epix email address. We need to be counted and a great and easy way is by sending an email with the post card attached it is a unique way to be counted and costs nothing

Ratings Update for 2/20
I have been working with Casey Dog and Myvibesmom on putting together stats and graphs to make our business case and we are well on the way. As I have said we need to look at Jericho as being on cable. The CW is really a glorified TNT, USA or FX.
Jericho was canceled almost a year ago and the repeats shown to date all originally aired in the Fall. of 2006 yet Jericho has maintained an average rating of 1,113,750. That put is sixth in the shows form 2008 that we are measuring it against and ahead of Mad Men (Emmy Best Drama) and Dexter shown on CBS on Sundays in 2008.
Jericho is slated to run through June 14, 2009. The CBS Board still has Jericho listed and Hulu among others now directs you to CBS Board when you try to watch Jericho episodes. We are being measured and counted and the show is being looked at. In these bleak times with the bad economy, job losses etc, we all have real world issues and so Jericho is a nice little escape each week. We need to just continue to write, email and spread the word and be counted.
