Choosing the right Baby Carrier

When my children were young the baby sling had just started to become a popular item with the Moms where I lived in California. It was sunny and there are parks to take the children to around each neighborhood so having a way to take the young children and carry the baby was really important, you do not always want to be placing a baby in a stroller.

But choosing the correct type of baby carrier or sling is very important. The materials used in the construction as well as the sewing should be high quality. I used to worry all the time that the baby would all out through the bottom :-).

Today, the slings have evolved, and for the better. I really like the moby wrap, it has no rings or straps. It just wraps around you and the child for a great form fitting style. The fabric is very stretchy which allows it to wrap around you and the baby but it also lets you nurse with out the feeling of being bound up.

With all the different styles of baby slings available today, Moms are now able to be closer to baby without the feeling of being wrapped up in a solid plastic form. I love it because this will let Mom's be with the baby more creating a closer bond.
