If you are in the east coast part of the country, have you looked up at the western sky and seen two really bright objects just hanging there? I have here where I live and I think the objects are Jupiter and Saturn , I am not positive. If I had a telescope I might be able to get a clearer view and properly identify them though, they kind of give me the wiggies.
I had a telescope once along time ago,and it was so awesome to actually see the moons surface. The place where people like my Dad worked so hard in the 60's to help get man to the moon.
If you are interested in the night sky, in Astronomy you can get yourself a Telescope and begin a journey into learning about the stars and planets yourself.
If you go to OpticsPlanet.com they are having a sale on telescopes right now such as the cassegrain telescopes. There is a great telescope called the Bushnell Northstar 1300mm which is really well priced and will get you a great view of the objects in your night sky. It is on sale for $399 right now, a savings of over $250 !They also carry other optics items such as Lab and Science items like the microscope and even Military and Law Enforcement items.
Telescopes make a great gift for the kids you have to buy for and age really does not matter because almost everyone loves to peer into the awesome night sky looking at the planets and stars. Why not give a thought to getting a telescope for your family members and start a new tradition?
