Will the Show be Cancelled?

According to this report I read while at IMDb in the section for Jericho Skeet Ulrich is quoted as saying he "doesn't hold out much hope that his series will get a second season"!!!! What the hell is this about?
He is also quoted as saying that he thinks that when the show went into hiatus, they lost momentum.
Seems that the numbers for the show just dropped at that point.
I do not think that should be the telling force, yes we fans were a tiny bit upset but that is not what is making us lose a bit of interest in the show.
The whole idea of the show was - 'what would happen to this small town if they were suddenly in the middle of a Nuclear war?' Then the writers went on to make it more soap opera-ish than it should have been. Not enough of what the show was about, the effects on the citizens from the nuclear war. They could have made a whole episode just on the trading post and its people and how they will become really important to the citizens of Jericho. There was too much attention spent on Roger and Emily, both are interesting characters, but not integral to the story. This last show was a bummer period, with the only "fun" part being when Gray got shot.
( to all the fans of his character, I am sorry but he drives me nuts! I would end up kicking his you know what in one day if I really had to deal with him!)
Back to the discussion. Take the story back to where it was meant to be, where it started at! That will bring back the fans of the show who have been loyal since before it even aired!

The link for this report that I am citing at the beginning of this post is -
Still time to save 'Jericho,' 'Lights'
Column by Susan Young

The writer states that there is a place at CBS where we as fans can begin the war ( when did it get to this point, does everyone else know that the show is at this point?) to save Jericho, it is audsvcs@cbs.com
or you can go to the Official Web Site and click feedback or if you are really into it, there is a phone number to call - (212) 975-3247.

I will be posting my synopsis on the show of course, as I always do tomorrow night, but I am really interested in hearing what everyone thinks, does the show seem to be going down, or can it be saved and if so, how?
