 If you, like me did not get to attend this years Welcome  Home To Jericho Event in LA last week don't despair because you can still be a part of the event and even help support Operation  Homefront.

Over at the Welcome Home To Jericho Website there is a page that is for the merchandise associated with this years Event. Some of the items you can still order are the DVD which will include all the events that happened at the Sportsmens Lodge. The WHTJ team had a professional photographer there to film the entire event and this DVD will be the way you get to be there as well. The cost for the DVD is $14.00 and all the proceeds

 

The DVD will begin shipping about four weeks or so after the event,
Another really awesome way to be a part of the event is buy purchasing the Commemorative Journal. This journal will be printed on glossy book stock, filled with artwork and photos.

One last item I would love to show you that is really very dear to my heart ( not that I don't love all the other items, ;-p) is the backpack that you can purchase to be donated to a child of a military family. The backpack is filled with  school supplies and each backpack you purchase for donation will bear your name so the child will know who has sent it. Even though school is about to let out, this is the perfect time to buy these items because it gives us plenty of time to make sure we get as many of these backpacks as possible, we want every child who has a need to be able to have one.

Welcome Home to Jericho Charity Event a Success

The Welcome Home To Jericho Charity Event was in every way a total success, and to each person who was in any way involved thank you! The real reason for this event was to help support Operation Homefront who supports the families of our troops stateside and abroad.

The auction was a huge success as well, raising over $5,000 dollars, and had some awesome items to share. A big big thank you to all the cast who attended including a very special appearance by Gerald McRaney. That was so awesome, he is one fantastic man. Everyone who appeared was so gracious and warm to the fans, I am in the works to get a few interviews with some of the folks who attended. Another thank you goes to the writers and crew who attended the panel talks. These panel talks were as big hit with the fans as being able to visit with the cast.

I heard the Writers Panel was AWESOME , and the special effects talk seemed really interesting. I was so looking forward to hearing that, maybe at the next event?

Our very own Miss Shelby deserves a HUGE hug and thanks. Were it not for her and her Mom we Jericho fans would not have had the opportunity early on in the effort to bring Jericho back to have had all the cast interviews we do. She is a huge part of why this event was SO successful.

While I know that those who worked on the JR4OT end of this event do not wish for thanks, they deserve a bunch. Were it not for MikesMom, Welcome2cho, Scoobud, LetsTalk, GenPatton, N2N2 ,Rammy, Redsox1989 and so many others this event would have been totally different. They worked their collective tails off for the last 9 months to make sure not only that the fans had fun but that the children of our troops were able to receive much needed help from the shared connection to Operation Homefront. * if i have left anyone off, it is due to my being really really old, I will correct this list as I recall who did what*

I am so sorry I was not able to be there, but I loved that Rammy was able to show those of us at home via internet video all the doings. That made it seem like we too were a part of the event.

I would also like to say thank you to The Sportsmens Lodge for all they did to make this event so special, the decorations and service were over and above and all the visiting fans had a great time.

Finally, I wish to thank YOU the Jericho fans for making all this possible by not only attending the event but supporting us through out all the past few months by contributions of time and money. We love you.

The BIG Day ~ The Welcome Home To Jericho Charity Event Begins

This mornings many lucky fans of the CBS Television show Jericho are waking up to some sweet California sunshine and the promise of an awesome three days in LA.

Beyond the chance to meet with the cast and crew of Jericho ( at this time the attending cast list was only shy a few names ) every fan out in LA today is getting to meet each other for some fun times, some for the very first time beyond the forums and chats. But the best of all is the opportunity to help out Operation Home Front and the children of our nations men and women who serve.

There will be a awesome party tonight at the Terraces in the Sportsmens Lodge from 7 pm to 9pm. Tomorrow is an even bigger day, with the opening ceremonies beginning at 9 am in the Vista room. There will be opening remarks and prayer, and then the introduction of Operation Homefront, of southern California and the Operation Homefront intro of Military Representatives and the presentation of the colors.You will also be able to view the Auction items on display.

From 10:45-11:45 will be the Writers Panel in the Vista Room, with Matthew Federman, Stephen Scaia & Josh Schaer. That is going to be a very interesting panel.
From 1 om to 3:30 pm will be the Special Effects Presentation and Panel presented by Gun Metal Group , the lead tech advisers of Jericho Seasons 1 and 2, and our Mike Loomer ( Set Dresser) Erik Kieltyka ( Dr. Booty ) On Set Prop Master, and the crew.

And then the big event of the day, and one I am SO sorry to be missing, the Stimi Wedding Reception Event. Located in the Terraces from 4 to 5 pm. There will be the cast receiving line, and a Q&A session along with photo opportunities and autographs. I just wish I could be there just to say hello to Brad and Alicia, they truly are my two favorites on the show and are such lovely people.
