Prom Season 2009

Can you blieve it , it seems like just yesterday it was Christmas. Now Prom Season is upon us again and this year the gowns are even more glamorous than last year. Back when it was my Prom the prom dresses were a bit less glamorous, but that was the late 70's. Today when getting ready for the prom, the girls have a virtual prom dress heaven to choose from. Gone are the ruffles of old, in are the sleek looks of the runway. And no matter what your body type you will find a dress that will make you look and feel like a Queen. SOme of the more unusual styles I have found are a Tony Bowls Prom Dress in Chartruse and floral print which is simply striking. Another really stunning dress I saw is the Jovani Strapless prom gown in a beautful soft beaded style complete with a beaded gather at the neckline, makes you think of Jacki Onassis.

And some of these dresses are out done only by the beautiful Bridesmaid Dresses  featured this season. You no longer have to worry about being done up in a poofy gown in some off color, today the choices are amazing.  My current favorite is a dress from Bari Jay that has a low back pulled into a gather for a lovely presentation. This year whether you are going to Prom or to a Wedding you will be lovely in your new gown.
