Thank goodness for the Grandparents! Tonight's movie review is Narnia ~ Prince Caspian.
I have to say upfront that I love the C. S Lewis Series. I first read them way back in the stone age, and fell in love with the land of Narnia. So when the movie Narnia came out, I was so excited to see it. And I was not disappointed either, each scene was better than the last and lived out my expectations from the books.
I am a notorious for disliking any second movie of a series ( The Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars are my exceptions) so I was a bit wary of how Narnia ~ Prince Caspian was going to be.
I was not immediately in love, as the way this movie starts is vastly different in feeling from the first, however when the children get to Narnia for the first time since leaving , I was hooked.
The movie is spectacular in the scenery, being filmed in both New Zealand and the Czech Republic.
This book series and movie series give us a rare moment to sit down with the family and simply enjoy, however there is some violence in the movie so if you have smaller children you may want to watch it first so you can switch from those scenes.
My favorite characters of the series will always be Lucy and of course Aslan for obvious reasons but all the characters make you feel like you have made friends.
I dearly wish I had a Wardrobe to go into, so I could visit Narnia myself! :-)
