Well now there is a place to go and learn about the files, their extensions and what programs they go to.
For instance, sega AFS files are file extension AFS is for a file associated with Sega Dreamcast games where oine might want to play the game on the computer and will need a emulator for this action to be produced. My daughter is old hat with this now :-) but what if your like me and had no idea that is what the extension afs was for? You would either leave it alone or delete it to your detriment right? Or you can go to File Extension Library, search what the extension is ( asf ) and the site will explain it to you, what it does, what program it goes to and what you should do with it.
There is a great list of extensions to search so if this issue is one you have faced or are facing now, I would suggest you get on over to File Extension.com and search for the way to deal with them!
