I saw this and felt it fit my mood today. These fires are spontaneous ( unless purposely set by vandals) they roar into life because the setting , the surrondings are in perfect readiness for the fire. Wildfires are a necessary part of nature, they rejuvenate the land and help the wildlife to be strong. I know that all makes no sense to the people whose homes were destroyed, and I send my prayers to them. It is just that we need to realize that wild fires whether in the natural or in our lives are bound to happen when the setting is ripe for them. I am not sure yet if wildfires in our lives are good for us, maybe they are.I do know that 90 percent of the wild fires in my life have made a lasting impression on my soul, impressions that I eventually grow and gain knowledge from. Some on the other hand, are just a destructive force that feeds on my situation at the time, and those are the fires I hope to stop from happening again. I guess it is time for me to go and whack all the proverbial 'low lying bushes and ground cover' in my life before another fire springs into life, because I am a lone fire man at the moment and I feel like I am standing alone on a ridge top. Not a great place to be. Please take a moment to click on this persons photo so you can see the other awesome photos in their Flickr Group page. And if you are in a position of helping those who have been affected by this fire, please do!
