Redirecting Your Blog ~ Can it be done?

I am sitting here trying to obtain a 4 year degree in Web 2.0, as I keep searching for how to redirect my two blogs, this one and one other; to my own domain.

This blog is a Blogger.com blog the other is a Word Press Blog which is hosted on Word Press.com and so far it seems as if I am not going to get this done with out a loose of rank or permalinks.
I hope to reach out to you, my readers for any help with this issue. I really want to do this without losing my rank and my links.

So far I did find out that for a fee WordPress will redirect your site hosted on WordPress.com to a domain, and I have to say I was a bit shocked we are not allowed to use this method of redirect for free if we already have our own domain.
I have a post out at the forums at WP in hopes someone can help with this issue.

I would love to know, have you redirected your blogs? Was it hell? What did you do in order to get it done successfully?
