The Hard Economic Times Have Some Getting Back To Basics

In the Las Vegas Review Journal, Geoff Schumacher wrote a piece about how due to the economic free fall we are now experiencing some of us have begun the pursuit of simple means of entertainment and how Jericho helped steer his wife toward one such pursuit, the study of Morse Code.

He and his wife had been watching Jericho back when it was on CBS but due to real life time constraints were not able to continue, but this was changed when his wife was able to watch all the episodes on Hulu.com when she gained more free time this month. * note, if you have not checked out Hulu.com, I highly suggest it for almost any show you can think to watch, it is a awesome website * She became intrigued by what the code you hear in the beginning of each episode meant and after talking to Geoff she began the study of Morse Code.

I take this connection to be almost like the six degrees game ( I loved watching every one play that over at JerichoRises.com, hope they start that up again ) where a life event of any type can be traced back to something that is related to Jericho, but maybe I am still just a nutty fan :-)

I have to say also that I love that he advocates going to the library with your family, because back in the stone age when I was a kid I lived at the library. I was reading two and three books a week at the age of 7, words are power. And as he mentions, you do not have to go buy the DVDs or music or books when you can just rent them from the library.
