Federal Mediator Brought Into SAG Issue

Since the contract negotiations have stalled between SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers a Federal Mediator has been brought in to restart the talks.

Jaun Carlos Gonzalez, Federal Mediator met with SAG President Alan Rosenberg and others Friday night. The Guild had asked for mediation and a meeting is planned for Thursday between the representatives of the Alliance and the Federal Mediator.

At the head of this all is whether the guild leaders will be open to 'scaling back' the demands for a better deal over features and prime time than had been previously received by the WGA, DGA and AFTRA.
