Jim Parons "Sheldon Cooper" on the Big Bang Theory sits down with David Martindale of The Star-Telegram ~ Fort Worth

As I have said in my previous post, I am utterly in love with Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang Theory. He is the end all be all of hysterical men who just happens to have a very large brain. The best of both worlds right ladies?
Well, Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon sat down with David Martindale for an interview as a special to the Star-Telegram of Fort Worth Texas. In the interview Jim says he is not like Sheldon in the sense of loving Science although he did want to be a meteorologist until he took the course in College. He said that was the only course he failed.

He does say he is like Sheldon in that he can exhibit a bit of obsessive-compulsive behavior and is some times set in his way over things.
He and Sheldon also share the same birth state - Texas. Jim hails from Houston and is proud of his Texas roots.

Jim first realized he wanted to act when in first grade he was given a solo part as a singing bird in a play. When he was asked about the idea that the sitcom is dead he said that when something is copied it can become diluted, but that if done properly and the viewers are watching a sitcom can survive. The Big Bang Theory is testimony to a sitcom being done extremely well and I have faith that I will be watching Sheldon and the rest of the company for years to come.
Jim was on Judging Amy with a recurring role as Rob Holbrook and was in the Films Garden State, Heights, 10 Items or Less, On the Road with Judas, and School for Scoundrels. He graduated from University of Houston with a BA in Theater and started a non profit theater Company.

If you have not had exposure to the awesome comedy of Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper check this video out ~
