Jericon 2007 ~ Oakley Kansas takes Jericho Rangers under their wings

It looks as if we all missed ( well, those of us who did not go that is) a great time in Oakley KS. I want to extend my thanks to all who live there for going out of their way to be so kind to everyone of the Rangers who showed up for Jericon 2007!
I am sitting here looking at the pictures Shaun put up ( link here) as well as xrammyx's pictures he has at the CBS boards and I see I am on serious saving mode now. Will not be missing next years that is for sure.
I am getting together some neat stories from some who went, and should have that here in the next day or two.
The 9:02 show Shaun OMac did was awesome, straight out of war of the worlds, as he began talking about how the power went off in Oakley, and then stating that a mushroom cloud had been sighted!
During this I was thinking about how my Great Granddad told me about the original War of the World radio broadcast and how bad it was in MA where he and his family were living. Some towns person got thier rifle and shot the water tower because it looked like the aliens being described in the broadcast!
Now, happily no one over reacted this time, but it would have made for exciting radio, don't you think?
