This is great news... more exposure for Jericho and in an atmosphere where more discussions will take place about the show!

And also in the new info department - the following press release is posted:
JERICHO COOKS: Food in a Post-Apocalyptic World

Just over three weeks ago, a concept was born in the mind of a JERICHO
fan
-- what if there was a collection of recipes submitted by and published
for
JERICHO fans, with the proceeds going to worthy causes. Not long after
that,
the one fan became four fans, and a "Jericho Cooks Committee" was
formed for
the sole purpose of creating a cookbook inspired by the CBS networks
innovative, post-apocalyptic drama, JERICHO. A cookbook that's
available to
all JERICHO fans, and one that will come in handy for everyday cooking
as
well as after a nuclear disaster. Well-known on forums and message
boards,
the Committee members came up with a game plan, brought it up to the
Guardians of Jericho, and now they've set about making this cookbook
reality.

Consisting of seven chapters, JERICHO COOKS: Food in a Post-Apocalyptic

World, will offer a diverse variety of recipes that quite literally
run the
gamut from soup to nuts. Designed to be useful, this small,
spiral-bound
booklet will include recipes for easy-to-make dishes any family can
afford,
as well as instructions on canning and preserving vegetables and
fruits.
Another section is devoted to Depression era recipes, when food had to
last
more than one meal, and to WWII-era recipes when certain foods were
rationed. There will also be recipes for outdoor cooking, some unusual
recipes, and what cookbook inspired by JERICHO could be without a
section
dedicated to recipes using nuts as an ingredient? From "Back to
Basics," to
"Waste Not/Want Not," JERICHO COOKS is guaranteed to make an
interesting
addition to any recipe collection.

Please visit www.jerichocooks.com for more information, and to submit
recipes. Every JERICHO fan who posts a recipe will be given total
credit,
their name accompanying the contribution(s). Submit as many recipes as
you
wish to help us reach our goal of 100 Jericho fan recipes! The cookbook
is
being created for all of you JERICHO fans, and we hope it will be an
enjoyable, useful tool in your kitchen.

The Jericho Cooks Committee wishes everyone to know they will receive
no
proceeds from the sale of JERICHO COOKS: Food in a Post-Apocalyptic
World.
All monies from the sale of this cookbook will be evenly divided
between the
Jerichon Convention (Guardians of Jericho, Inc.), and the creation and
sending of care packages to U.S. military personnel deployed overseas.

Release date for JERICHO COOKS: Food in a Post-Apocalyptic World is 14
Sep
07, and will be availabe at all sites on that day. Updates on
deadlines,
ordering information and price will be posted on our website
(www.jerichocooks.com). Please direct all questions to Morgan5318
(JerichoRallyPoint, or email morgan5318@hotmail.com), Greeneyes371
(www.jerichocooks.com or rhondaW@acedesignstudio.com), or Stephanie
from TX
(sarork05@yahoo.com). We are also frequently in the Jeritopia chatroom
(www.jeritopia.com).

Thank you, and we look forward to getting lots of your favorite recipe!
