Welcome Home to Jericho Charity Event a Success

The Welcome Home To Jericho Charity Event was in every way a total success, and to each person who was in any way involved thank you! The real reason for this event was to help support Operation Homefront who supports the families of our troops stateside and abroad.

The auction was a huge success as well, raising over $5,000 dollars, and had some awesome items to share. A big big thank you to all the cast who attended including a very special appearance by Gerald McRaney. That was so awesome, he is one fantastic man. Everyone who appeared was so gracious and warm to the fans, I am in the works to get a few interviews with some of the folks who attended. Another thank you goes to the writers and crew who attended the panel talks. These panel talks were as big hit with the fans as being able to visit with the cast.

I heard the Writers Panel was AWESOME , and the special effects talk seemed really interesting. I was so looking forward to hearing that, maybe at the next event?

Our very own Miss Shelby deserves a HUGE hug and thanks. Were it not for her and her Mom we Jericho fans would not have had the opportunity early on in the effort to bring Jericho back to have had all the cast interviews we do. She is a huge part of why this event was SO successful.

While I know that those who worked on the JR4OT end of this event do not wish for thanks, they deserve a bunch. Were it not for MikesMom, Welcome2cho, Scoobud, LetsTalk, GenPatton, N2N2 ,Rammy, Redsox1989 and so many others this event would have been totally different. They worked their collective tails off for the last 9 months to make sure not only that the fans had fun but that the children of our troops were able to receive much needed help from the shared connection to Operation Homefront. * if i have left anyone off, it is due to my being really really old, I will correct this list as I recall who did what*

I am so sorry I was not able to be there, but I loved that Rammy was able to show those of us at home via internet video all the doings. That made it seem like we too were a part of the event.

I would also like to say thank you to The Sportsmens Lodge for all they did to make this event so special, the decorations and service were over and above and all the visiting fans had a great time.

Finally, I wish to thank YOU the Jericho fans for making all this possible by not only attending the event but supporting us through out all the past few months by contributions of time and money. We love you.
