As of Midnight tonight you better hope your not a Time Warner Cable subscriber

I finally accept this .... I give, Uncle. I will watch some Reality TV , not all but there are a few. For instance Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. Now this show is something else. It is about guys on a few different ships that do deep sea fishing for Crab and such way up in the wilds of the Northern Seas. But what fascinates me is that I actually learn how men really feel about so many things. It is like being a fly on the wall, and to my mind finally nullifies the saying Men are from Mars. I get them a bit better now, and feel better knowing that while they are out in such dangerous situations ( and that is the other draw for me, the dangerous situations that end in hopefully pulling big bucks at the end of the season ).
So, not all reality TV is bad, and since nothing else is on to grab my attention and I have no desire to ever again invest my emotions in any show I will become one of the masses and watch. But still won't watch BB, sorry. That is just asking far too much.

Here is a great post on the new season we fans are waiting on, a great blog to read.

Okay now for what got me ticked off today. As some of you know I also write a Rock Music Blog. Today on VH1 the show 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs, hour 1. Well, first off.... has no one told VH1 that Eye of the Tiger is NOT a Hard Rock song? See this is why I did not watch VH1 in the 80's. But what really got me was that while trying to watch the show for the few great songs they showed ( Henry Rollins doing Liar, what a song ) a bug kept running at the bottom of the screen covering up the peoples names and such.

The bug was announcing that Time Warner Cable users will be losing 18 stations as of midnight stations such as MTV ( no real loss there) and Nickelodeon. Seems Time Warner and Viacom ( here comes the eye again) are at odds. News flash, lots of men are going to be really ticked off that they will no longer be able to watch Spike!!!

Here is the news from the Huffington Post ~

"SpongeBob SquarePants" might get squeezed off Time Warner Cable.

Media giant Viacom Inc. said its Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and 16 other channels will go dark for 13 million subscribers at 12:01 a.m. Thursday if a new carriage fee deal with Time Warner Cable Inc. is not agreed upon by then.

The impasse would mean "SpongeBob" and other popular shows like Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" and Stephen Colbert's "The Colbert Report" will be cut off on the nation's second-largest cable operator. Time Warner Cable primarily serves people in New York state, the Carolinas, Ohio, Southern California and Texas

You can read the post in its entirety here.

So good going , now a bunch of kids will be deprived of Spongebob ( and Spike ) just because you all did not cross your t's before today. For the kids sake, kiss and make up already!
