It has been a great weekend ...

Because my son called me from Japan!!! It has been months since we have been able to really talk, and silly as this sounds it was so good for me to hear his voice again.
As our children grow up and into a life of their own it gets harder not easier to let go. I have missed him so much, he is so far away. But he is so grown up and about to start a new phase of his career, things are looking so good for him. I am blessed he is doing so well.
He has promised me that he will get to Kyoto and Mt Fuji so I can see what Japan looks like, and I got him to promise to do a photo shoot of sorts when he goes to town next. This is so I can see what daily life there is like.

IF I ever get the chance I am going to visit Japan, and maybe not come home it seems so much like California ( the northern portion) that I feel I would really like it there.

Well, I know that is a personal post best left for other areas, but I am so happy to have heard from him that I wanted to share with everyone. If your kids are older and away from home, next time they call you remember to tell them you love them. It means the world to them to hear it.
