The Leaves are changing here ~ Winter is not far off

I could not believe my eyes yesterday when I went out to the store, there across the lake near my home were trees in various shades of yellow, orange, and red! This does not bode well I think for those of us in the middle and east coast of the US.
I am now imagining about 50 feet of snow this winter, with winter lasting about 5 months, yuck. Now don't get me wrong, love the winter and snow, just not for more than say the months of November and December. Come January I am ready for spring.
I just hope that if it is a snowy winter that we at least get one good whopper, like the Blizzard of 1996. That one was a great snow fall, we had 3 feet here in central Kentucky! It was so neat to watch the snow falling for three days straight, looked just like a Currier and Ives Painting!
Well, hope that today is the best day ever for everyone, it has been a great day for me so far.
