Genealogical Research - A Rough Trail for Some To Follow

I have been working on my Family History for so long and hit so many brick walls I am at the point where I honestly don't expect to find the info I seek anymore.
It is a syndrome I think many Genealogical Researchers suffer from but knowing that does not make it any easier for me to go through.
I have been trying like a mad woman to get to the bottom of who my paternal lineage is really related to, the original surname is just not verifiable unless I wander over to Poland for records that 10 to 1 were destroyed when the Nazi Troops waltzed through that country in WWII.
The fact of the matter is, unless one has marriage banns, a certificate of birth with parents names listed or some family members bible, many families whose ancestors immigrated to the US in the 20's and 30's of the last century are going to hit that wall.
So on the off chance that someone out there in either in Poland or else where might actually know the Surname Dobravolsky ( or Dobrowolsky) that originates from a town called Sczcurnowice and Bialefowdaz Russia ( during the years of 1880 to ~ 1940) please contact me via a post here or if you wish a email.
Note - The Blog from Germany that does list this information is in fact a cousin, so I do have that info already!
