The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk 2008 is on!
The Alzheimer's Memory Walk Alzheimer's Memory Walk is the largest event in the US to raise awareness and resources for the people who are suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and their families. You can help make a difference by either attending a Memory Walk in your area ( check this web page to see a Memory Walk near you) or you can do a Virtual Memory Walk by visiting this web page.
The Alzheimer's Association needs volunteers of all ages to come and help in this fight.
My family was touched by this disease and it is very important to me to know that there is a way each of us in our own way can help fight, walking for this will be an awesome way to lend a hand and get funds for research.
The average walk distance is between 2 and 3 miles, and we can all use some exercise right? What better reason to walk than to help fight a disease such as Alzheimer's. Locally here in Kentucky near my home, there will be a walk in London on September 27 2008 at the Bennett Center. I plan on being there and hope to meet people from my area there as well.
So, please go to the website and see where a Memory Walk is being held near you, and help MOVE a nation. Be a Champion.
