Happy Fourth of July Jericho Rangers

I could be totally sappy and begin this with, today is OUR Independence Day 9 recall Independence Day??). It is, but I wont diminish the day from its original intent except to talk to you about Patriotism. Patriotism comes in many forms, from the Mother who waves goodbye to her son and daughter as they go off to serve our country, to the man on the street who makes sure his neighbor is feed or housed after a catastrophic event at home.

Patriotism also means not taking things lying down if they are not right.

I have spend the better part of the last year watching my fellow Jericho fans do things that even our government has a hard time accomplishing, and doing it all for their fellow Americans, not any other reason.

With the Jericho Rangers, ego has left the building.

This week, when July 4th comes around I will be sitting on my deck, eating my hamburgers and relishing two things, my sons are out in the world making sure I will have many many more July Fourth Holidays to celebrate and my Jericho Friends who have given to so many causes, the Peanut Butter Effort ( see this link for more info on how you can help) the DVD's For The Troops Campaign ( link here) and Greensburg Kansas Relief ( link to NutsOnline here).

I honestly do not care anymore who will be President, or who will lead in Congress. I only know that as long as I have people behind me like the Jericho Fans I am in great hands.

Now all you Jericho Fans, go out and eat all the BBQ you can manage, and know that you have friends all over the world who think you all rock, I sure do!
